At the beginning of the year 1900, the Senator Domenico Fracassi began the commercialization of the wine coming from the holdings that belonged to the family of his mother, Maddalena Ratti Mentone.
At the present, the winery belongs to the nephew of the senator, Umberto Fracassi. He has kept the old label and the family name of
the grandmother.
As a secular tradition, the product coming from this winery is made in the cellar of the family house in the historical center of Cherasco.

Barolo
Umberto Fracassi Barolo has a pleasant garnet red color and orange reflections. This wine has austere perfume, with reminiscence of violet and dried roses. It has a full velvety body, soft and easy on the pallet, with a very complex and long finish.
Ready to drink now, but should last a lifetime.
Barbera d’Alba, “Ciabot Contessa”
The Barbera d’Alba grape is one of the most widely grown grapes in Piedmont. With dry characteristics and well balanced fruit, this wine finishes with a hidden spiciness.
