Barbera d’Alba is the most refined of many types of Barbera produced in Piedmont. This wine is found everywhere, running through the history and culture of old Piedmont. This wine is enjoyed because of its intense flagrant perfume, which is slightly accentuated when it reaches maturity. The color varies from light red to a very intense dark red. The aroma suggests overtones of fruit when it is young and is austere when it is fully mature, having a fragrance of fruits and spices.

With noble origins and traditions that go far back in time, Nebbiolo d’Alba is made from the grapes having the same name. Its intense ruby color tends to become garnet red in time. It has great body and a mellow acidity level. There is a delicate perfume that becomes more refined as it ages. It has wonderful tannin that does not overpower the pallet and when it is young there is a delicate but persistent tannic after-taste that becomes velvety and aromatic as it ages. Nebbiolo d’Alba is aged for one year in Slavonia oak barrels. This wine can be enjoyed with heavy meats and game.
